About Me

I’m 36 years old but I feel much younger. I’m from the USA, I’ve been living in Germany for 6 years. I met my wife, Franziska, while we were both in grad school in Maryland. She planned to stay only one year, but it ended up being three years, and then we moved to Potsdam together. A couple of years later we got married! It’s been a great experience living in Germany, and at least for now we plan to stay.

I love the outdoors, and outdoor sports. I like hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking and kayaking. Potsdam is a pretty nice place for most of these. You can find me riding my bike the Forst Potsdam or the Berliner Forst, climbing at the Kahleberg, or on a boat in the Havel. When I’m on vacation, you might run into me in Allgau or Obersdorf, maybe the Harz or the Sachisce Schweiz. But my wife and I also like to travel, this fall we’ll take a trip to Nepal and Tibet.

I also of course love photography. I really enjoy taking pictures of people, as you can see. It makes me happy to make my clients happy with what I can do with my skill and experience. I also really enjoy landscape photography, in particular using film in antique and alternative types of cameras.

Dresden Sunsets & Franziska

In Dresden this weekend we got to to see a pretty spectacular sunset go down while I clicked away. Even though I had my camera it was pretty romantic to see what is already a pretty spectacular site, in this kind of light.

I also convinced Franziska to pose for a couple of quick shots (it’s not so easy to convince her!) and one more nice sunset to round things out.

Yes! I’d like to meet Robert for coffee, especially since he’s buying!
